What is accessibility and why is it important to address it?
On June 28, 2025, the EU’s European Accessibility Act (EAA) came into effect, requiring products and services to be made accessible to people with any form of physical, mental, motor, or technological limitation. This means ensuring that products and services, including their digital and physical interfaces, can be used by everyone.
What does accessibility look like in practice?
The implementation of accessibility takes several forms. From a technological perspective, it involves the functionality of user interfaces: multiple ways of interacting, captioning for pages and images, content adapted for screen readers, sufficient contrast, appropriate text size, responsive design, and many other features. Accessibility also extends to physical barrier-free access and clear, understandable communication.
Accessibility is not new to us – it’s our core approach
It’s important to note that accessibility at PPL is not a new concept. From the very beginning, we have developed many of our processes, products, and services within the UX/UI framework to be as user-friendly as possible for our customers’ needs.
Following WCAG recommendations, we address any shortcomings, test user environments with real users, and carefully process their feedback. Thanks to this, we can proudly say that our digital and physical interfaces fully meet—or largely exceed—accessibility requirements.
We continue to work on our goals every day, constantly seeking ways to improve. For us, accessibility is an ongoing process that we approach with the utmost care, because every detail matters—especially when it comes to accessibility.
