Overview of changes to PPL legal documents

We would like to inform you about changes to the Product Terms and Conditions, General Terms and Conditions, Price List, Complaints Procedure and Personal Data Processing Policy (GDPR), effective as of 1 September 2026. 

 

Changes to the General Terms and Conditions: 

Preparation for the new Customer Zone: 

• The changes cover the new process for digitally concluding a framework agreement via the Customer Zone. 

Volumetric weight for international shipping: 

• A definition of volumetric weight and the DIM factor has been added. 

• It has been clarified that the transport price may be determined based on the higher of the physical weight or volumetric weight, according to the rules set out in the Price List. 

Parcel storage period at a PPL Shop: 

• The method of expressing the storage period for parcels stored at a PPL Shop has been clarified. Newly, this period is stated in business days instead of calendar days. 

Renaming of PPL pickup locations: 

• PPL Parcelshops and PPL Parcelboxes have been renamed throughout the documents to PPL Shops and PPL Boxes. 

 

Changes to the Product Terms and Conditions: 

Volumetric weight for international shipping: 

• Provisions enabling transport to be charged based on physical or volumetric weight for selected international products have been added. 

Update of dimensional limits in the DHL eCommerce network: 

• Parameters for Slovakia have been updated for the PPL Parcel Connect, PPL Parcel Smart Europe and PPL Parcel Return Connect products. 

Flyerbag: 

• A specification has been added for the transport of goods packed in a flyerbag, including the related limitations. 

Cash on Delivery Bulgaria (COD BG): 

• The option of Cash on Delivery for Bulgaria has been added for the PPL Parcel Connect and PPL Parcel Smart Europe products. 

Renaming of PPL pickup locations: 

• PPL Parcelshops and PPL Parcelboxes have been renamed throughout the documents to PPL Shops and PPL Boxes. 

 

Changes to the Price List: 

Volumetric weight for international shipping: 

• Rules have been introduced for charging transport based on volumetric weight for selected international products. 

Cash on Delivery Bulgaria (COD BG): 

• The option of Cash on Delivery for Bulgaria has been added, including the related pricing conditions. 

Renaming of PPL pickup locations: 

• PPL Parcelshops and PPL Parcelboxes have been renamed throughout the documents to PPL Shops and PPL Boxes. 

 

Changes to the Complaints Procedure: 

• Volumetric weight has also been reflected in the section on handling complaints. 

 

Changes to the Personal Data Processing Policy (GDPR): 

• The changes expand the GDPR document to cover the new process for digitally concluding a framework agreement via the Customer Zone. In particular, new types of data, new verification steps and new external customer verification sources have been added — REPI, Cribis and bank account verification via payment card.
