Key markets in Western and Southern Europe—specifically France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Slovenia—have now been added to the existing destinations.
The expansion of the service for Czech merchants provides easier access to European markets. They can now send their packages to a network of more than 110,000 pickup locations, a third of which are self-service boxes. In addition to delivery to pickup points via PPL Smart Europe, e-shops can also use PPL Parcel Connect to deliver to addresses in up to 24 European countries.
A Simple Path to International Expansion
PPL Smart Europe is an international service designed primarily for e-shops and businesses that want to easily expand abroad and offer their customers affordable and convenient delivery to pickup points and lockers throughout nearly all of Europe. It builds on the PPL Parcel Smart service—delivery to PPL’s extensive network of pickup points and self-service boxes in the Czech Republic—which is becoming increasingly popular among recipients for its flexibility and accessibility. Thanks to the backing of the DHL Group, e-commerce stores can also rely on a strong international infrastructure, proven service quality, and a stable delivery network across Europe.
“At PPL, we’re committed to listening to the needs of both our contract customers and package recipients. Thanks to the Smart Europe network, we’re breaking down borders and giving e-shops the freedom to grow wherever they see potential. We want delivery to France, Italy, or other countries to be just as intuitive and easy for our partners as sending a shipment within the Czech Republic. After all, logistics shouldn’t be a barrier to business for anyone,” says Petr Horák, CEO of PPL CZ.
Modern Tools for Modern Online Stores
Expanding through the e-shop does not require complex technical implementation. All you need to do is enable the new countries in the current PPL Smart Europe service settings, and all destinations will be available in the PPL apps.
Along with its international expansion, PPL is introducing improvements to its digital solutions. The main new feature is an updated map widget that e-shops can easily implement right now, significantly simplifying the shopping experience for their customers. “The map for selecting pickup locations is now faster and more user-friendly. Customers can easily save their preferred pickup locations or use the history of their most recently selected locations,” adds Petr Horák, CEO of PPL CZ.
Flexibility That Knows No Bounds
At PPL, delivery has long been tailored to the recipient, not the other way around. When a package is sent to an international address via the PPL Parcel Connect service, recipients across Europe can easily change their delivery instructions at any time or redirect the package to their preferred pickup location or locker. Within this extensive network, over 165,000 pickup locations are available to customers across Europe. In the Czech Republic, thanks to the Parcel Smart service, customers can take advantage of an extensive network of more than 10,700 pickup and drop-off locations, ensuring their packages are always within easy reach.
