The Christmas season is a busy time for all of us. To ensure that our drivers can deliver all gifts on time and that there is always enough space for new shipments in PPL shops, we have temporarily reduced the storage period to 4 calendar days for the season.

This step has allowed us to increase the capacity of our network and ensure that your shipments arrive on time and where you originally planned. However, the end of the year is unique in many ways – there are public holidays, vacations, and some PPL shops may have limited opening hours between holidays.  

 

We have great news for you: for all shipments stored at PPL shops starting Monday, December 22, the storage period will return to 7 calendar days.  

 

And because we know that the holidays have their own pace, we will individually adjust the storage period for shipments stored in the PPL shop before Christmas Eve – i.e., December 22 and 23, 2025 – so that you have enough time to pick up your shipment during the holidays.

This way, we can give you more time and peace of mind to pick up your orders from PPL shops, so you don't have to worry unnecessarily during the pre-Christmas and post-Christmas rush. The seven-day window gives you much more flexibility and the certainty that your holiday shipment will wait for you until it suits you.

If you prefer delivery to a parcel locker, the storage period remains unchanged: for PPL lockers, pickup is within 3 calendar days, and for AlzaBoxes, within 48 hours.

💡 Tip for you:
If you are unsure exactly how long your package will be waiting for you at the PPL shop or pickup box, check the email we sent you when the shipment was stored. You will always find the exact date and time for pickup clearly listed there.
