Introducing the new PPL map widget: faster, clearer, and more modern

🚀 User-friendliness comes first

▪️Lightning-fast loading: We’ve optimized the loading of both the map and individual locations. The widget can smoothly display even a large number of pickup points without any lag.
▪️Smart filters: Customers can instantly filter PPL boxes and PPL shops according to their preferences, right on the map without having to reload the page.
▪️Clean design and user-friendly UX: The intuitive interface makes navigation faster and reduces the risk of customers getting lost in their shopping cart.

 

🎯 Customizing pickup locations

▪️Shoppers can now save their favorite locations by clicking the heart icon
▪️The widget now displays a history of recently selected locations, so you no longer have to search for a pickup location with every new order.

 

🌍 Abroad? No problem!

▪️We’ve also kept cross-border e-commerce in mind. You can now switch between countries with a single click right from the map, which saves cross-border shoppers a significant amount of time.

▪️Another great feature for your customer support is the ability to generate a link to a specific pickup location, which you can easily share via chat, email, or social media.

 

⚙️ Seamless transition and customization

▪️Thanks to its configurability via an API key, you can flexibly customize and integrate the widget to meet the exact needs of your online store.

 

How will the update to the new version take place?

▪️Standard widget
If you are using the standard widget without any customizations, the transition will occur automatically and without any downtime. You don’t need to do anything.

▪️Custom Widget
If you have a custom widget in your shopping cart, you must switch to the new version by August 31, 2026, at the latest. After this date, we will discontinue technical support for the older version.

We’re still fine-tuning the widget to make it even better and are preparing new features—such as photos of pickup locations, parking information, accessibility, and public transportation availability. We’ll also be adding the ability to rate pickup locations and report any issues directly.
