PPL is celebrating its 30th anniversary and in that time has grown from a local transport service to one of the largest logistics companies in the Czech Republic. It started with business-to-business shipping and now delivers shipments across the country and abroad. Its merger with DHL in 2006 opened the door to Europe and this year it plans to surpass 69 million parcel deliveries.

Thanks to automation, digitalisation and a growing network of pick-up points, PPL handles a huge volume of shipments even at the busiest times. The modern transshipment facility in Hradec Králové handles up to 500,000 parcels a day, and the number of employees and drivers is constantly growing. At the same time, the company prides itself on a fair approach to its people, which is confirmed by the Top Employer award.

PPL also has sustainability in mind, using electricity from renewable sources, investing in solar systems and aiming to have 60% of its fleet powered by electricity by 2030. What other plans does it have for the future? Read the full article on the Hospodářské noviny website.
