Meet the star of PPL: Parcelbox No. 2000

 

So who is the star?

For some, a new PPL box is just a practical addition — a place to pick up or drop off parcels. But for us, this latest addition has a special meaning: it’s the 2000th box we’ve installed in the PPL network! And to top it off, it runs on solar power — making it even more of a charmer. If you’d like to meet it in person, you can find it in Přerov on Gen. Fajtla Street.

 

 

We’re “boxing” smart — not just punching air

But it’s not just about chasing impressive numbers. We’re expanding our network of parcel boxes quickly, but definitely not recklessly. We follow the philosophy of “quality over quantity,” which means we approach the installation of pickup and drop-off boxes with thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and respect — for public spaces, residents’ needs, utility networks, and existing infrastructure. We stick to clearly defined rules that make sense — for us and for everyone involved.

That’s also why we recently strengthened our network by adding around 1,800 partner AlzaBoxes. Together with our brick-and-mortar PPL Parcelshops, you can now pick up your parcels at more than 7,800 locations across the entire country. Double celebration

The box milestone is being celebrated not only at PPL but also by our parent company, DHL, which has just added its 150,000th pickup location to the global network. And it’s no ordinary one — it’s our very own PPL box! This special parcel box is proudly serving the village of Březová, located about 10 kilometers northeast of Zlín.

Thanks to it, our delivery map grows once again — making it even easier for you to send parcels across the next village or halfway across Europe.
